UVA's Premier South Asian-American Fusion A Cappella Group
Founded in 1999, Ektaal is the University of Virginia's premier competitive South Asian-American Fusion A Cappella group.
We perform a variety of songs that fuse together elements of South Asian and Western Pop tunes, bringing a fresh and unique voice to the A Cappella scene.
Ektaal is a diverse group of artists with years of experience in both Western and Indian Classical music. This includes Carnatic and Hindustani, as well as a variety of musical instruments like the piano, harmonium, and saxophone.
We have a strong presence both musically and culturally at UVA as the only South Asian-American Fusion A Cappella group on Grounds, as well as in the greater Charlottesville community.
We are open for booking! Parties, weddings, proposals, events, etc. - you name it. Click below to start the conversation.
